Camille Broom, M.Ed., NCC, BC-TMH, LPC
Welcome to Willow Root Counseling! I'm Camille Broom, a Licensed Professional Counselor in both South Carolina and Tennessee, with more than 20 years of counseling experience.
I believe everyone deserves a place where they can feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. Life can be complicated, and sometimes we find ourselves overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure of how to move forward. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone.
My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and nurturing, but I'm also direct and honest. I believe meaningful growth often requires us to look beyond what's comfortable, challenge old ways of thinking, and recognize patterns that may no longer be serving us. While I will always approach you with empathy and respect, I won't hesitate to gently challenge you when I believe it may help you grow.
One thing I share with clients from the beginning is that honesty is essential to the counseling process. I believe therapy works best when we can be open and genuine with one another. My commitment is to offer you that same honesty, along with a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
I provide individual counseling for adults ages 25 and older who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
My goal isn't simply to help you feel better in the moment. It's to help you develop greater self-awareness, build confidence in your ability to navigate challenges, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond our counseling sessions.
At Willow Root Counseling, you'll find compassion without judgment, honesty without criticism, and support that encourages real growth.
You can expect warmth, honesty, and a little gentle encouragement to look at things differently.
Sometimes it's difficult to put into words what you're experiencing. You may simply know that something needs to change.
You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
At Willow Root Counseling, you'll find a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can explore what's happening, identify what matters to you, and work toward meaningful, lasting growth.

Sometimes the challenges we face don’t fit neatly into a single category. In addition to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and grief, I help adults navigate patterns and experiences that may affect emotional well-being and personal growth.

Starting counseling can bring up questions. Here are a few answers to help you feel more comfortable taking the next step.
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. If you're feeling overwhelmed, experiencing anxiety or sadness, navigating grief or trauma, or wanting to better understand yourself and your relationships, individual counseling can offer a supportive place to begin. I work with adults ages 25 and older, and we can discuss whether my services are a good fit for your needs.
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, what you've been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You can ask questions, share at your own pace, and begin identifying goals. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
Yes. I offer both in-person counseling at my Anderson, South Carolina office and virtual individual counseling for eligible clients located in South Carolina or Tennessee. You can request either an in-person or virtual appointment directly from this website through my Headway scheduling link.
Yes. My self-pay rate is $120 per counseling session. I also accept select insurance plans through Headway. If you'd like to use insurance, you can visit my Headway profile to explore coverage and appointment options. Both insurance and self-pay appointments are managed through Headway. For help arranging a self-pay appointment, please contact me directly.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. Please contact me as soon as possible if your plans change.
Your privacy, comfort, and trust are important parts of the counseling experience.
I am committed to providing a professional, respectful, and confidential counseling environment. Information shared during counseling is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and professional ethical standards. Certain legal and safety-related exceptions to confidentiality apply and will be discussed during the informed consent process.
Both insurance and self-pay clients will receive their intake paperwork, informed consent forms, and privacy information through Headway’s secure platform before beginning counseling. Please complete all required documents prior to your first appointment.
